Card with Free Digi, Free Sentiment & all new Free Cut Files! – First Posted: Wednesday, June 09, 201

Hiyah!

Today is the day I start to bring you my own cut files, as a beginner to this ‘ole computer thing and programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, I honestly can’t tell you how excited I am about this and I have absolutely tons of ideas. First things first however, I have tested the GSD file on my CraftRobo(Silhouette) but as I don’t have a Cricut machine I will need to rely on feedback for the SVG files so I’d be very grateful if you could let me know if they work ok or if I need to do anything specific to alter them.

I had a request for sympathy sentiments so todays card is a sympathy card but as I was finishing it I felt that this would work really well for a wedding card too with just a change of image and sentiment. I embossed a piece of card using the leaves texture plate from Fiskars and stuck to my card base. I printed then coloured my image lightly with prismas then cut my loopy square and layered with spellbinder squares and scalloped square using 3D foam pads. I finished the card with some narrow white ribbon.

Glittery birthday card – First Posted: Monday, June 07, 2010

Here is a card I made for a family member. I scored my card base with my new Martha Stewart score board, I already know I’m going to love this thing! I knew I wanted to use this gorgeous card from the DCWV spring mat pack, it is a mass of glittery flowers which you can’t quite see in the photo. My sentiment is made up of printing and die cut letters and framed with a die from Joy (cut and emboss dies similar to Spellbinders). I threaded some ribbon through a Spellbinders Lotus border, used their Jumbo scallop border for the bottom edge and finished with some flower shaped buttons.

I’ve been playing again – First Posted: Thursday, May 13, 2010

Hello Hello!

I have been playing again and I’ve made some….well I don’t know what to call them really, I have been trying to decide what they are all day and I’ve gone from sentiment frames to pendants to medallions and back to frames again. Simply put I’ve made some wide patterned circles which could be used as a frame for sentiments, embellishments or images, well anything really and because they are circular they are easy to use with Spellbinder circle dies or punches etc.

I changed the colour of my frame to a pale green to match my card stock, I sized it in Word to 3.25 inches and also typed out a sentiment in the same colour. After printing, I cut my circles using circle dies and layered with a small pendant die cut, 3D Foam Pads for dimension and added some ribbon and mini gems. Lastly I popped this onto a scallop circle card which is made by folding some card and laying a scallop circle die with 4 scallops just overhanging the folded edge and running through my big shot.

thank you scallop
