Swirly Frames 7 & 8

Hiyah!

I have the last of my swirly installments for you today, at least for a while anyway. I have 2 more frames which each come with a backing layer, the swirls are around the edge of the frame, you can leave the middle area solid or cut a square out to make them more frame-like for a different look.

I picked 2 turquoise papers for today’s card, I used one for the frame backing layer and the other for my center panel. I cut my frame from some white card and layered my panel with white card too and sewed the edge. I wrapped some Scarab Seam Binding around my panel, I tied a bow and added a button and some thread in similar colours. I printed my sentiment onto some more white card, I die cut it with a nestabilities die then trimmed around the outside of the metal die with a craft knife to produce a narrow border in the same paper that I used behind my frame. I layered all of my elements with 3d foam pads and popped onto a white card base then as a finishing touch I used some turquoise flat backed pearls.

Swirly Frames 5 & 6

Hi Guys!

Don’t shoot me but I have 2 more swirly frames for you today and I have 2 more ready to go for another time but I promise I will get to something a bit different very soon. I have been asked to make some baby cards and some more border files so I have those in mind at the moment and they will probably be appearing soon. Today’s frames have a circle and oval set into them so you have an area for your sentiment, they also co-ordinate with your circle & classic oval spellbinder dies.

I’m in love with neutrals at the moment so I went for greys today. I cut a card base from some dark grey card then I cut swirly frame 6 in white and the backing layer in pale grey card using my Zing. I chose some stripey grey paper to use behind my frame, I layered in some white card then stitched in place. I used 3d foam pads to attch my frame to the striped panel then wrapped some seam binding around it before taping down to my card base. I printed my sentiment then die cut and attached over the ribbon with more 3d foam pads then tied a button onto my bow with some white thread.
