I'm baaaack! Sorry about the break in posts, I had to upgrade my hosting package as it seems that I have been exceeding my bandwidth but there shouldn't be any problems now and usual service will be resumed :)

So, where was I? I was in a stained glass window phase so here is another one for you this time with a butterfly. I picked some prisma colours which I thought went well together and let that dictate the colours of the card stock etc. I embossed my card stock with a dots Fiskars texture plate and added some twill ribbon coloured with Promarkers.

clicky on the digi ;)

My views on bargain hunting are that there are some high quality crafting items that it is definately worth investing in but on some occasions I am happy to look around for alternatives to save some cash or get much, much more for my money. The sellers aren't connected to me in any way, I'm just sharing some of my purchaces :)

I have noticed that a few card companies are including some twill ribbon in their ranges, some are plain and some are printed with patterns or sentiments but they have been pretty pricey. One company is selling just over 1 meter (patterned) for £2 and another is selling approx 2.5 meters (sentiments) for £4.50.

I bought this roll of 50 meters for £1.99!  I found several auctions on ebay for it sold as bunting tape or apron strings, this is the link for the one I went for although I'm sure there are many others of a similar price. I got one in black too as there was a discount on postage but the white can be coloured any colour I fancy to match my projects with markers (see photo).

I wanted to see how well twill takes ink to see if it can be stamped on and I found that dye inks bleed a bit too much but Stazon works fantastically well and chalk ink works quite well too, the black and brown printing in the photo is Stazon and the other colours are Colorbox chalk ink.
