I know it’s been a little quiet here while I’ve been moving house so thanks for your patience, normal service will resume shortly. Apart from all of the other house related stuff that’s needed sorting, I have been getting in my craftroom as much as possible to get it unpacked and sorted so here’s a few pictures (apologies for the quality) to show you what we’ve been up to. I was lucky enough to have my Mum and Dad here for the first 10 days to help with the move so much of the work in the photos is thanks to them.
Here is the window side of the room:
This is how the empty room looked after the carpet had been fitted
This was just some of my craft stash that came from the moving truck
I now have wall to wall worktops to give me as much usable surface area as possible, a blind at the window and even a lampshade, it looks much more like a craftroom now :)
We will be putting up shelves on both sides of the window in the coming weeks so this picture shows how it looks so far.
Here is the shorter side of the room:
Again, this is how the empty room looked after the carpet had been fitted
I have gone for a wall to wall worktop again to make the most of the space I have. I also have a couple of wall to wall shelves, it may be a small room but I plan to get as much storage space as possible.
Here is how this side of the room looks now. I have given the shelves a couple of coats of paint and started to fill them with my most used papers and pens, tools etc then I tucked several filing cabinets under the worktop to house everything from ribbons to paper scraps.
I have dreamed of this room for so long and it’s actually coming together better than I’d ever hoped or had pictured in my mind and just know that I’ll be a happy little crafter here :)
