Box 3

Good Afternoon!

I have a new Box design for you today, it has a separate lid that comes half way down the box base. As the box base and lid are shown, this box works particularly well if you are using different colours or designs of cardstock as I am today for my project. I hope you like it :)

Patricia from generously sent me some of her paper packs to try out and I have to say they are great. As a lot of them have special finishes, they are the kind of papers that you would only need a little of, to give that special touch to your project.

All of the packages came with these lovely labels on them:

Here are 2 of the packs that Patricia sent, I’ve tried to photograph them to show off the great selection of paper, card and vellum etc but you really have to see them in flesh!

This is the Patriotic Variety Package:

This is the Spring Purple Speciality Package:

I picked 2 fantastic Lustre Cards from the Purple Speciality pack to make today’s project, Silver Laser for the box base and Vintage Silver for the lid:

I put my box together and decorated around the edge of the lid with gems:

I cut some flower and leaf shapes from the Parchment Vellum in the same Purple Speciality pack for a Flower to top my box:

I shaped my Flower by rubbing an embossing stylus over the back of my vellum pieces then I popped a bit of sparkle in the middle:

Oh I am addicted to it now, pretty much all of my flowers are being made with vellum these days, its so easy to form and stays quite rigid even though they look delicate :)

I know exactly what you mean, I had vellum hanging around forever but now I can’t get enough of the stuff especially for making vellum flowers :)
