An oldie but a goodie

Hiyah!

I wanted to remind you to visit my Free SVG archives from time to time as there are some very useful files lurking in there!

I was reminded of a card (and SVG) I shared at least 10 years ago that I think would make a great Christmas card, it was originally for a Family member’s Birthday as you’ll see from the photo:

The secret to assembling this card is to add your ribbons and tags to the front panels before you glue them down. They add some great dimension to what would be a rather flat card otherwise and adds to the idea of 3 stacked gift boxes :)

I re-coloured the file image in traditional Christmas colours, I can just see how embossing the front panels or using some fun festive patterned papers would really bring it to life!

Your finished card will fit comfortably into an A5 sized envelope even with all of festive ribbons you can throw at it :)

Enjoy!

Christmas in June

The TV Craft chanels have started advertising their Christmas crafting supplies as they always do in June. But I also noticed that one of the supermarkets is offering us a second chance at the Christmas that many of us missed out on. They are suggesting that we celebrate a belated Christmas on the 25th June, they are even selling mince pies for ‘Junemas’!

So, I’m jumping on the Christmas bandwagon!

I have a Christmas Card that I’ve designed for you today, it’s a Gingerbread House shaped card and comes complete with its own envelope. Oh and yes, it’s a Freebie! :)

To assemble your card:

  • Adhere the insert inside the card base, remember that this will be what appears through the door and windows.
  • Fold the door open then adhere the porch onto the front of the card base.
  • Glue into place the snow details and window surrounds.

I’ve been sharing free files for over 10 years now, I encourage you to take a look at my Christmas catagory in my Freebie SVG archives as there is a wide variety of projects available:

Here is the link to my Christmas catagory, there are 5 sections to browse, I hope you find something you like: https://www.birdscards.com/free-svg-cut-files/christmas-svgs/

There’s no place like home – Freebies

Due to the Stamp Duty Holiday here in the UK, I know several people who moved Home recently. Now, I already had some Home themed SVG cards but I thought it would be nice to compile a few handy sentiments for you today to co-ordinate with them.

It’s nice to congratulate new Home Owners, also the Home Owners might like to notify their Friends and Family of their new address and when May 17th comes around they’ll actually be able to invite them over! So, here are the sentiments that I thought might be useful, I hope you like them:

Here’s one of the Home themed card bundles I have in my Freebie archives, I designed these 9 years ago when I was growing in excitement about buying my first Home…it brings back nice memories to read my old blog posts from that time :)

Here’s the page where you’ll find the card bundles: https://www.birdscards.com/free-svg-cut-files/card-svgs/card-bundles/

I will try to pop in again over the next day or two. In the meantime, Enjoy! :)
