Baubles 3

Hello!

I have set of Baubles for you today, they are the same shape as the Baubles 2 set I made last year so you can mix and match them. One of last years baubles has Merry Christmas within it and after posting it I had a request for Seasons Greetings to be used so I’ve remembered to add one of those in this years set :) As with last years set, there are 3 Baubles with cut out designs and 1 plain Bauble shape which can be used separately or can be used as a backing to the patterned Baubles.

I cut a square piece of patterned vellum to approx 6 inches then cut a 5.5 inch square piece of white card, I folded the overlapping pieces of the vellum over the edges of the white card and used some double sided tape on the back of the white card to hold the vellum in place. As the vellum is wrapped around the white card and adhered behind, you can not see any of the adhesive from the front. I cut 2 of the baubles from some thin gold mirror card and strategically placed some 3D foam pads behind them. I tied some gold cord to the baubles, I added some gold ribbon and embellished the swirls on the smaller bauble with some 3mm clear gems. I made a 5.75 inch square card base from some gold pearl card by cutting an A4 piece down to 11.5 x 5.75 inches and folding in half then I stuck the vellum panel in place with some strong tape.

Christmas Place Cards

Hiyah!

I have a couple of place cards for your Christmas table decorations today. I took a couple of elements from the Winter and Seasons Greetings Bendy Cards, one with a snowflake and one with holly, and placed them across the top of the place cards. You have lots of room to write or stamp your dinner guests names below :)

I cut my place cards from some lightweight card and added some small gems for some simple decoration but you can add more of course :)

Snow Scene Card

Good Afternoon!

I’m posting last months KnK Design Team project here in case you didn’t see it at the time over at the Team KnK blog and also to include the cut file into my archive.

Today’s the day that I start to get organised for the festive season ahead so I’ve made my first Christmas card of the year, I will be ready this year, lol!

It was a little odd trying to get into the festive spirit while the sun was shining outside so I looked around on the internet for some inspiration for today’s card. I found a few ideas that I liked and set about to creating my card incorporating some of them, the digital sentiment and cut file are available at the end of the post :)

Materials:

My trusty Zing, Make the Cut software, Textured card stock, Gems, Printer

Settings:

Blade = Standard, Blade Height = 25 post-it notes, Offset = 0.30, Speed = 10, Force = 80, Passes = 1

Below are the pieces you will need to cut out with your chosen KNK cutter to recreate today’s card. I cut the card base in white to resemble snow and cut my insert in dark blue to give the effect of a night time sky:

The picture below shows where to apply your adhesive, fold along your perforated line then place your adhesive next to your fold on the right hand side:

Next, fold your insert and line it up with the adhesive then press it into place:

Now that your card is assembled, you can decorate it to your hearts content!

Here’s how my finished card looks:

I decorated my card by adding some mini gems to look like stars in the sky. I printed my sentiment onto some white card then layered it with some of the blue insert paper and popped it onto my card with 3d foam pads. My card needed a little something to finish it off so I cut a snowflake, I added a larger gem to the middle then adhered it to the corner of my sentiment.
