Daisy Frame Digis and Cut Files

Good Morning!

I have another floral frame for you today similar to the Tulip frames I posted recently here and here, this time it’s a Daisy version. I have tried to cover all case scenarios so, there is a daisy cut file and daisy frame cut file and coordinating sentiment along with digi versions of the frame with and without the sentiment for those of you who fancy colouring them or don’t have an electronic cutting machine. You can of course add any sentiment you wish to these frames and I haven’t tried it yet but I think they would look great over a photograph as an alternative to a sentiment.

I cut one of the tags from my Tags 1 set and added some twill ribbon. I cut the daisy frame and petals in white card, the middle in yellow then cut the stem in green and snipped the stem at the base of the flower head. I measured the gap in my frame and printed my sentiment at just the right size to fit the space and changed the colour to match my daisy stem using the methods in these videos. In order to get just the right placement I glued the frame over the sentiment, glue gives you a minute to move the frame around as tape sticks immediately, then when the glue was dry I trimmed off the outside of the sentiment piece.

I gave the daisy petals and middle some shape by running an embossing stylus over the backs of them on a soft surface (a mouse mat is perfect for this) then layered with some 3d foam pads to keep the dimension.

Stop…

Hey Guys!

I’ve been playing around with my site a bit, I don’t actually know what I’m doing mind but I’m trying…very trying, lol! Anyway I’ve managed to add a section to the bottom of each post which should make it easier if you want to add a picture from one of my posts to Pinterest etc. Pinterest is new to me, yup, I’m way behind the curve but I have recently registered an account there myself and popped most of the pictures from my site on there. I was surprised by how many images there are, I’ve had a blog for over 2 years now so I guess the numbers were going to add up in that time but it is nice to be able to see them all in one place like that.

So, what do I have for you today? I have another Cut File and Digi Sentiment, You may remember I did some tulip images recently, well I have incorporated one into a frame with a space beside it for a sentiment or even a photograph. I found this weeks colour scheme from The Play Date Cafe quite a challenging one as they’re a bit too close to the green and red of Christmas but I hope I made it work. The spotty background paper started life as an envelope I received on my Birthday and saved because it was far too pretty to throw away, I embossed a piece of cream card stock and popped it over the area where my name was written and you’d never know it was there. After I cut my frame in my Silhouette I measured the gap and sized my sentiment in Word to fit, I printed my sentiment then glued my frame over my sentiment area to get the perfect alignment and trimmed around the frame when it was dry. My gingham ribbon might have risked swaying my card into a more Christmas-y direction but I just couldn’t resist ;).

I cut my extra stems and leaves in the same card as my frame then coloured with a Copic marker, I cut the petals in red paper and gave them some shape by running an embossing stylus over the backs of them on a soft surface (a mouse mat is perfect for this) then layered with some 3d foam pads to keep the dimension.

Many Happy Returns…

Hiyah!!

After a bit of a batch of boyish cards of late, it’s time to get back to a more feminine project I think. I bought my first Prima paper pack last week, I plumbed for the ‘Annalee’ stack and I love it! I picked 2 of the bolder colour patterns to coordinate with my black accents which bring me to today’s freebies, I have the decorative frame cut file for you along with the sentiment I used. I layered my sentiment with Spellbinders Labels 6 & 18 and my frame, used some black crochet lace to edge my top layer then a added a silk ribbon and a couple of gems.
