snow dog – First Posted: Monday, May 23, 2011

Good Afternoon,

I have a digi and card I made for a family members birthday to post today, it’s a picture of her dog playing in the snow and running around with a snowball in his mouth. He’s a gorgeous dog and I hope I did him justice :) I stuck with the snow theme for my picture but it could easily be coloured to look like a dog playing on a beach in the water or on grass with a ball in his mouth too. I followed another sketch for my card and realise just how much time I normally spend agonising over my layout, maybe it’s something that comes with time.

No.1 Dad card + digis – First Posted: Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Hey There! I hope you are having a great day.

Fathers Day is only a few weeks away so I have a suitable digi for you today, It’s a Trophy with the words ‘No.1 Dad’ on the label. I have included a trophy with Mum on and a blank one for you to write/type/stamp your own message. Not only can these be used for mothers/fathers day cards but they can be used for birthdays or celebrations of other kinds too so I hope you will find them handy.

I followed a sketch from Splitcoast Stampers for my card, a very helpful starting point when I get card-makers block! I coloured my trophy with copics and sponged the background with distress inks then added some glitter in a star burst effect which looks great in the flesh, honest! I made some subtle patterned paper by stamping the word ‘dad’ over and over on some black paper and embossing it in black too. Some star patterned paper and a star shaped brad finished the look.

Easter Egg-y-ness – First Posted: Thursday, April 21, 2011

Hiyah!

It was my birthday recently and I was lucky enough to receive a mincer/sausage maker from my parents so I have been joyfully filling up my freezer with various flavours of yummy homemade sausages this week. You know how it is when you get carried away with something? Well I thought I should pop on here and share some Easter projects before it has been and gone!

I don’t tend to send Easter cards but I have a tag to share with you today although the image can just as easily be used on cards or scrapbook pages etc. Continuing with my ‘running before I can walk’ tendancies, I attempted to create a gold coloured bow on my egg with copics.
