Doily Square Frames
Hey There!
So, I think I caught the lurgy while I was away and as a result I have spent the last couple of days in bed as I couldn’t even think straight, at least it waited until after my trip was over! I feel slightly more human today so I had to get a post up for you :)
I have a pair of scalloped doily edged frames for you today, they can be cut as they are to give you frames or you can remove the middle cut line to have solid centered matting layers. I adapted the deep edge card 8 design to make these frames, the ribbon threading area is a little different and when I cut the version with the ribbon threading part for my card I really liked the look of it with and without the ribbon so you have 2 different effects with that one :)
A tip for the ribbon threading: The ribbon I used didn’t bend around the corners very well and wouldn’t lie flat so I snipped a piece for each side, I threaded them through the holes then taped them to the back of the frame. No one will ever know ;)

WOW – Beuatiful card and love the added ribbon and the tip :-) Thank you so much.
Thank you Bird!
Sorry that you came back and wasn’t very well. I know the feeling because whenever I had annual leave from work – my body was no longer on auto-pilot so I got everything possible and was never right after coming home – especially if it involved a flight too. I’d end up on antibiotics as it was always respiritory/ENT!!! So, I hope you don’t suffer like I did and that you are fully back up on your feet soon.
What a pretty card you have made using your cut file square doily. I (like almost everyone else) am so in to the pretty doily look at the moment, and I thank you for all that you keep bringing us – continuing to share your talent and hard work. I am so grateful to you – as a person on a limited budget which allows for hardly no new craft stash – I’m just grateful that my Mum bought my cutting machine for me.
I truly admire your abilities – but make sure you put your health first!!!
big hugs
