Haunted House Card

Good Evening!

Oh it felt good to get back to some crafting today after what turned out to be a very long week (or so) of ‘stocking’ the shop. I’m very relieved to have it all set up and running now so things can go back to normal…until my next secret project that is! – insert halloween style laughter here –

Aaaanyway what do I have for you today? I have a Haunted House card complete with vellum layer and extra front panel if you’d like to re-create the stained glass effect card I made today :)

Pic 1. I cut my card base from plain black card, I cut the vellum layer from some white vellum then cut my front panel from some awesome varnish detailed paper from Kaisercraft’s 75 cents paper pad:

Pic 2. I glued my vellum piece onto the front of the card base with a glue pen:

Pic 3. I scribbled some Copics (I reckon any markers would be fine for this) over the windows, door and road areas:

Pic 4. All of my messy colouring was hidden away once I glued the front panel onto my card, sandwiching the vellum between the panel and the card base:

Pic 5. This is how the inside of the card looks, just as neat and tidy as the front!:

Fantastic!! You are so clever with these ‘sandwiched’ designs.
I have one question — I’m not quite sure what the grey outline part of the file is for? It’s the top left square in the picture of the file.

Oh, never mind! I get it now, that that grey piece is the part you cut out of vellum. I thought there was a whole square of vellun filling the front, but I see now… it’s just behind the cut house/hill area.

Well, darn, :0) this will have to be next year’s card, because I’ve already made 20 “beware” bendy cards. Thank you!!

This has to be one of your best cards yet. I love your feminine cards, they’re great. But this is just a great card. Actually I’m going to try and duplicate it tonight. So again I thank you for the file, but also your creativity. You have grown so much, and I’ve loved watching it.
