If you don’t have any matching embellishments, make your own! – First Posted: Friday, November 20, 2009
I wanted to use some paper from the DCWV Christmas stack that had little christmes presents on and have taken it out a few times to use but couldn’t find anything to go with it when it came to me…I will make some larger versions of the little presents on the paper.
I picked 3 that had different dimensions and incorporated all of the colours in the paper and made my own versions from scraps of paper and ribbon using the same colour ways. I stacked my presents so they look just like they do under the Christmas tree.
These presents are just adorable. I love the ribbon loops, and I would have never thought of that! I have often not used paper because I just couldn’t find the right embellie. I have difficulty with shades of the same color because I have astigmatism and so all shades look alike! Let me tell you it’s not easy to match ribbon, card, embellies and other goodies when every shade of blue looks like blue! Thanks for this tip though Bird. I often by paper packs from DCWV because the papers are pre matched! Now I know I can just make little embellies to go with the background. Sue
