Lacey Square Frames 2
Hiyah!
Before I share today’s freebies I’d like to mention a couple of quick things:
- If you have registered on the forum but haven’t had your account activated then please message me with your username and I’ll take care of it for you :)
- If you are on Facebook and would like to add me as a friend, you will know the moment I post on my blog so you can get your freebies straight away :)
Ok, so what do I have for you today? Well, following Lacey Squares, Circle and Border 1, I now have Lacey Square Frames 2 for you…I wonder if I’ll have a circle or border to match? ;) I cut my lace frame from some lightweight 160 gsm card (approx 60 lbs) along with a sticky mat and a pretty sharp blade.
I’ve also added the digital Sentiment I used for my card. I changed the colour of my digi sentiment to match the colour scheme of my card using this method.

Thank you for sharing the file and your talent. Very pretty card. Hope I can get mine to cut as perfect as yours (need a new blade). Thanks again!
Thank you so much, it’s beautiful.
This is just so beautiful. You’re amazing and so generous for sharing.
I am in awe over all of your designs and find it incredible of how your intricate cuts look so beautiful.
Do you have suggestions in terms of …paper? …blade? …speed? …depth? …machine?
I hope to eventually figure this out but wish the learning curve was a little easier (and less expensive)
Gorgeous!
I guess what I was trying to ask is …paper mfgr? …silhouette blade or the kind you replace in a blade holder? Etc…thanks!
I have a Zing and use the Make the cut software so I’m not sure that my settings (height = 25 post it notes, force = 65, standard blade, offset .30, speed 10, one pass) would help you.
Although no matter what machine, I would suggest a nice sticky mat and a fairly sharp blade and not to have the blade any deeper than the thickness of the material you are cutting as it can rip your cardstock. Also not try to cut very intricate designs in thick card, it’s not a card base so 160gsm/60lbs is plenty thick enough for lace-y designs.
I hope all of that made sense :)
I rarely use yellow, but your card is so soft and lovely. If I even have yellow in my stash, I’ll copy it. Thank you for the file and the tips on how to cut it.
Thanks it is such a beautiful file. I love the brightness of your card.
Oh how beautiful…. you are so talented and so generous with your amazing cards.. I do have a question, I don’t know how to cut the sentiment. Any help would so be appreciate, you have such wonderful sentiments I would love to be able to use them. I have a silhouette cameo. Do I make it into a print and cut or just print it on my computer.. Thanks again Bird.
