Swirly Reindeer

Good Evening!

First of all let me say that it is exactly 2 weeks to Christmas Day! My Mum loves a countdown! ;)

I have an addition to the swirly cut files that I’ve been producing lately, this time it’s a Reindeer. There is a 2 legged version and a 4 legged version, I couldn’t decide if I wanted to be able to see the back legs so I’ve given you both to let you chose. You can layer the 2 legged version over the 4 legged version to really place the 2 farthest legs in the background.

I’ve made a suspension card today, I used my Silhouette to ensure that all of my circles lined up but it can also be done with a circle die. I cut my card base then stretched some invisible thread (invisible thread is clear but you could also use thin fishing line or just some white cotton) vertically across the circle gap and taped down with some extra strong tape. I sewed some vellum onto my white card layer and added a scalloped circle on top then stuck the completed panel onto the card base sandwiching the thread between the two. The final step is to add the Reindeer to the thread, you will need 2 copies, a mirror of each other to glue together with the thread inside.

This is how the card looks closed:

This is how it looks when the card is opened and the Reindeer has room to spin:
