You’re a Star

Hiyah!

I have 2 cut files for you today, one is a Star Border and the other I’m calling Star of Stars, they both come with a matting layer which I have used on my card in white.

This is my first entry into the Splitcoast Stampers Fan Club Monthly Theme, This month it’s ‘Star Spangled’ and we were challenged to use stars, stripes and polka dots. I followed the monthly sketch too,  I’ve included stars and dots in my card with star cuts from glitter paper with my CraftRobo and the polka dots come from the patterned paper. I also cut out the lettering with the ‘robo then coloured the star letters with a copic marker and covered with clear glitter. I did 2 lots of hand stitching, a running stitch around the edge and a crisscross down each side of my center panel. A seam binding bow and some white pearls coloured with another copic marker finish my card off.

Framed scene 4 + ribbon borders

Hello!

I have another framed scene for you today, this time it’s a night time cityscape. I tell ya, I’m having a whale of a time creating cut files, I have some border designs for threading ribbon through for you today, One is a plain border and the other two have scalloped edges, I hope you like them :)

I started my image by masking the cityscape and the moon (I printed the image again on printer paper, cut out the area I wanted to mask and stuck in place with re-positionable tape) then sponging the sky with various distress inks. I removed the masking paper and coloured the buildings with copics then applied some sakura stardust pen to the little stars to add some sparkle. I cut the scallop looped ribbon border and threaded my organza ribbon trough it and followed card patterns sketch for my card layout.

CD/DVD Holder

Good Evening!

I have a cd or dvd holder cut file for you today. I often send discs to members of my family so having a simple design like this to hand will be a real time saver for me, to form the base holder it just requires 2 pieces of tape down the side tabs and you’re away :) I have added matting layers for the front and back if you care to decorate your holder, I used some pretty paper from k&co for mine. I added a belly band in matching papers, broke out some prima flowers and of course what project would be complete without a ribbon, right? ;)
