The matching Vintage Teacup

Hello!

Here it is, the matching vintage teacup set to go with the teapot set in my last post. As with the teapot set you have digi stamp and cut file versions so you can make use of this whether you have a cutting machine or not or simply want to colour yours as I have in my card, also I have a few sentiments for you today too, enjoy! :)

I flipped the Mojo Monday 203 sketch on its side for my card layout and kept the theme from The Shabby Tea Rooms week #74 challenge. In fact I think this might be my most successful ‘shabby’ style attempt so far, It’s not a style that comes easy to me but I absolutely love the look of soft colours and lace etc that make up the shabby/vintage style. I coloured my teacup with copics and sat it on a distress ink sponged background, my seam binding ribbon was dyed with a mix of broken china and faded jeans to get the right shade of blue. The green gingham paper is from the pastel paper pack found on this page and my sentiment was coloured in word (right click on the image, click on ‘format’ then ‘recolor’).

Vintage Teapot Set

Hey There!

I have had a Tea set planned for a while now so when I spotted The Shabby Tea Rooms ‘Tea for Two’ challenge it was obviously time to get one done. Starting with a bit of a vintage look, I have a teapot set for you today including a teapot and teabag tag cut files, digital sentiment and a digi teapot for those of you who don’t have a digital cutting machine or fancy breaking out your markers/pencils. It took a while longer than I anticipated to make these (like an extra day) due to me deciding for some unknown reason to create a rose stencil for my teapot, my first stencil ever, and then realising I would have to change it completely for the digi version, oops ;)

Dungarees

I’m meltiiiiiiiiing………..I mean Hiyah!

It’s so hot here at the moment, we aren’t used to it. We get so little warm weather here normally, I’ve even broken out the home made ice lolly maker, strawberry pop ices yumm!

I have some cute little kids dungarees cut files for you today but as the lines are quite simple and I figure could easily be cut out with scissors I have included a copy in the template section too for those of you without a digital cutter :) There is a base card and a top layer in each of the boys and girls versions. I know that the girls version is called a pinafore dress but I’m calling them both dungarees to make it simpler.

dungarees cards

I wanted a denim look for my dungarees so I cut my top layers in some navy blue textured cardstock then roughly sanded them to expose some of the white core, I added some stitching on the straps, hems and pockets then popped in some silver brads where the metal buttons would be. The base cards are cut in some of my gingham and subtle stripes paper from my paper packs, I added some more of the paper to trim the boys sleeves and neck area and added some lace trim to make the girls top more girl-y. I also added some lace to the hem of the dress and a tiny fabric butterfly to the pocket.

I had great fun making these and could think of lots of different ways to change them up just changing the paper designs and the trimmings, I hope you will have fun with them too :)
