Free Digital Cutting Files, Project Ideas

O Christmas Tree

Hey There!

I have a Christmas Tree Cut File for you today complete with pot and star, I also have a Christmas Tree ‘double z’ fold card cut file which comes with matting layers for the front 2 panels and the middle panel on the inside. For those of you without a digital cutting machine I have a Christmas Tree digi stamp today too.

To make my double z card I cut the card base in white card then cut a tree to the same height as the card base in green textured card (and a tiny one to decorate the inside). I cut my front panels in burgundy card and some damask style papers to resemble wallpaper and cut my inside panel in the same burgundy card and white paper to write my message on. I cut the green tree into 2 pieces straight down the middle lengthwise and attached to the front of the outer panels and embellished with gems. The final touch was to add some little squares of card and ribbon to resemble gifts below the tree.

Free Digital Cutting Files, Random Stuff

I came, I saw, I spent!

Hey Guys :)

I attended the NEC’s Annual Craft show yesterday and I shopped ’til I dropped! Oh my gosh it was busy, it looks like everyone had the same idea of arriving nice and early to beat the rush, lol. As I mention often, I love my CraftRobo/Silhouette but the newer 12″ cutting machines have been sparking my interest and I was pleased to see a couple in the ‘flesh’.  Naturally I was excited to see the Silhouette Cameo do it’s thing, The ecraft by Craftwell looked very interesting as it doesn’t use a carrier sheet! It seems to stack paper as a printer does or you can add a roller to use lengths of paper/vinyl, it’s just a shame there was no one there to show me how it worked. I was also extremely impressed by the Pazzles machine as they say it’s able to cut materials up to 2mm thick where most of the other cutters (as far as I am aware) seem to cut up to just 1mm thick and among other things, it can engrave metal and glass! Plenty of food for thought for when I am ready to upgrade my machine. So armed with several packs of paper and card and some cool crafting tools, I made my way home absolutely shattered but glad I made the trip.

Onto today’s project, I have the card I made for my Mums birthday to share with you today along with the frame cut file I created for it.

I used this really pretty K & Co floral paper as my starting point, I used on its own for the backing layer but added some vellum on the top to soften it for the center panel to help my sentiment stand out. I printed ‘Happy Birthday’ in green onto some textured card to pick up the green in the paper and cut into a little banner shape then cut the word ‘Mum’ with my Craftrobo in the same shade. I cut away 2 of the little inner pieces in the frame to accommodate the blue silk ribbon I added to pick up the blue in the paper and finished with some pearls I coloured with a green Copic marker.

Free Digital Cutting Files, Free Digital Paper Pack

Paper pack, .studio format & Christmas cut file

Hiyah!

I have a snowflake printable paper pack for you today,  I’ve picked 4 different shades of blue to cover different times of the day. I also have a stocking and mitten cut file for you, I have existing digi stamp versions of these on this page for those of you without digital cutting machines. Also just a heads up that I will be including .studio formats along with the current formats in my cutting files in the future.

I followed this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for todays card, I used the large checks with grey paper pack for my back layer and the lightest blue from the snowflake paper pack below for the round layer then popped some textured card into an embossing folder for my third layer. I printed my sentiment onto some textured card then cut out with a Spellbinders tag, threaded through some seam binding and added a few pearls. I cut my 2 little mittens in pearl and glittered cardstock and joined together with some shiny white wool.
