House Cards

Good Evening!

I have made a little house scene for you today and have a cut file version with a card base included and I have a digital stamp version for you too. Also I have made example cards of both the cut file and the digi stamp, I just couldn’t resist colouring the little scene and making a second card. I think these would make great new home cards, house warming invitations, we’ve moved cards or even from our house to yours Christmas Cards (maybe with some added glitter), all you need to do is add your chosen sentiment.

I cut my card base in white card then folded along the score line and really liked the way it looked just as it was, really clean and simple. I was in two minds whether to stop there or not but I decided to go on and add the card front layer and a sentiment but thought I’d take a quick pic to show you first.

I attached a black piece of card to the back panel of the inside of the card to emphasis the cut out sections.

I printed my digital stamp in a grey-brown colour (using this method) which is one of my favourite things to do with digis as I find black can stand out too much at times. I coloured my image with Copic markers then mounted onto panels of SEI papers then printed a sentiment in purple, trimmed and added banner edges with scissors.

New Home

Hi Guys!

Moving house in on my mind lately, we are madly saving for the deposit for our first house and are on course to be ready in the next few months so this is a very exciting topic for me at the moment. I’m dreaming about what will go into each room and how I will decorate them. The best bit is I will have a dedicated craft room rather than a fold-up table in my living room as I do now, I can not wait!

So, I have 2 cut file cards for you today, a new home one and a home sweet home one too. I’ve also made a circle sentiment for easy punching or die cutting with your nestabilities if you don’t have an electronic cutting machine.

I cut my card base in white card then cut the word new in kraft coloured card. I cut my house in cream and green textured card and the little heart in a cute polka dot then attached all of the pieces to my card base. To add a bit of dimension I popped a button onto the heart threaded with some twine.

Bird House

Well Hello There!

I have a cute little birdhouse for you today and no matter what supplies you have, you will find something here that you can use. I have a cut file birdhouse card base and front panels with and without the scalloped roof so the choice is yours, I also have a printable template version so it may be cut out with scissors and a circle punch and lastly I have a birdhouse digi stamp for you to print and colour and a couple of circle sentiments too.

I used the cut file for my card and went for the scalloped roof, I sponged all of my pieces lightly with distress inks then stuck down to my card base. I decorated the front of my birdhouse with a couple of the 5 petaled flowers from Flowers 3, I rubbed the front of my flowers with an embossing stylus to make them curl up then popped in some artificial stamen and tucked some leaves from Branches 1 behind them.

I changed the colour of the a little birdie circle sentiment using the method shown in these videos then printed it out and die cut with spellbinders dies. I cut one of the birds from Birdcage Birds and sponged with distress ink, I cut a strip of brown card to look like a perch and attached both pieces to the sentiment. I attached the sentiment piece to the inside of the card to line up with the hole in the card front so that the bird is peeking through when the card is closed.
