Triangle Tree Card

Hey :)

I’ve made a new version of the Swirly Christmas Tree I posted recently to be used on your cards, tags or scrapbook projects so you have a choice of design, today’s cut file is straight edged with a solid tree trunk. I went a step further and made the tree into a triangle shaped card, the file comes with a card base and a triangle insert which you can use behind the front of your card in a contrasting colour or vellum as I have done here, also you can add a layer to the inside of the back to add your message.

I cut my card in some textured green card then cut my layer in some green vellum and glued inside the front of the card. I added a glitter star to the top of my tree, they always look a bit naked to me without one and I may have over embellished it with gems and pearls slightly ;)

Matchboxes

Hi all!

I had an email request from Linda for a Matchbox cut file to be made into Advent Calendars so that’s what I have for you today, I even had a bash at making an Advent Calendar myself…hmm not sure that I pulled it off ;) I’ve also added a template version of the Matchbox if you don’t have an electronic cutting machine or wish to cut one out with scissors or a craft knife.

I made a couple of larger Matchboxes and I really like being able to have the box in one colour and the sleeve in a completely different colour or pattern, its not an effect you can easily achieve with other styles of box so I’ll be putting this cut file to plenty of use. I cut my boxes out of some white core card, if you don’t like being able to see the white peeking through the dash lines you can use some solid core card.

Swirly Christmas Tree

Hey There!

I am one of those people that are very critical of their own work as a rule but I am so pleased with how today’s cut file came out, I tried to create my Swirly Christmas Tree last week but I wasn’t happy with how it looked and deleted it. I gave it another go last night and wouldn’t let myself go to bed until I had it cracked and in the end I did. I really like it and I hope you do too :)

I’ve made a couple of extra tags with my Tree Cut File, I’d rather have too many than not enough. I cut my Trees from some silver mirror card and cut a backing layer in white card (using the offset command in Silhouette Studio) then stuck the two together with some Zig glue. I popped in an eyelet and some seam binding then attached a star shaped button with some silver cord.
