Festive Gems

Hiyah!
I’m here with my brand new SVG Collection complete with all of the video assembly tutorials, the kit is available in the store now and is on Special for the first week of sale.

Here’s the preview video:

The Festive Gems SVG Collection contains 4 vintage shaped Christmas Cards all with a (faux) Gemstone design in pride of place. Each card comes with it’s own envelope complete with matching designs.

This collection of cards will help you to actually use the bling that you have been storing up in your stash with easy to fill templates for your 4mm/5mm & 6mm pearls and gems. Alternatively you could use Liquid Pearls, Stickles or Nuvo Drops etc.

The Pearl Tree Card, a curvy rectangular shaped card with a Christmas Tree design ready for filling with your flat backed gems or pearls and a pot perfect for placing a little ribbon bow on.

The Rhinestone Snowflake Card is a twist on a Hexagon shape and is perfect for your sparkly gems, the snowflake design follows through on the back of the envelope.

The Pearl Bauble Card has a an elegant retangular shape and a bauble/ornament design which follows through on the front of the envelope, just add some ribbon and thread for the complete look.

The Pearl Wreath Card comes in an unusual vintage style circle shape and has a wreath template perfect for holding green pearls or gems, the wreath design is also on the back of your envelope, add a ribbon bow to the front of your card for the finishing touch.

The Festive Gems SVG Collection is on special for the next week and can be found here: https://www.birdscards.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=65&product_id=207

Store update

Hiyah!

This was an update that went up on my facebook page a few days ago but thought I’d share it here too as I’m still getting emails regarding the ornament:

Hey Guys! One of the reasons that the site went belly-up was everyone bombarding the site for the Filigree Ornament all at the same time.
I’ve decided to move the freebie files back over to the blog for you to download directly to your computer. I liked having all of the files in the same place but I want to prevent something like this happening again.
I will be gradually moving them all over but so far, the Christmas freebies have been moved, so if you’re wondering where they’ve gone you can find them here: https://www.birdscards.com/free-svg-cut-files/christmas-svgs/

In other news, I am busy working away designing my new kit, the store issues etc set me back unfortunately but I am working as fast as I can to bring you new designs :)

A Christmas Makeover

Hello Everyone!

Today I’ve taken the Star shaped Box from the You’re a Star SVG collection and given it a Christmas makeover using a couple of elements from the White Christmas SVG collection.

This not only makes a pretty gift box but can also be kept and used as a trinket box long after Christmas is over.

These are the Cut Files I used:

From the You’re a Star SVG collection

I cut the Star Box Base, Lid and Layer 1 from Red Cardstock to create the Box.

I then cut this element from Layer 2 from some Tartan patterned paper.

From the White Christmas SVG collection

I cut this element from the Poinsettia Gift Tag Layer 1 three times from more Red Cardstock.

And I cut this element from the Robin Gift Tag Layer 1 three times from Green Cardstock.

These are the Materials I used:

  • Red and Green Cardstock
  • Tartan Patterned Paper
  • Distress Ink
  • Wet and Silicone Glue
  • Fibres, Artificial Berries & Stamen
  • Chunky Glitter

If you would like to watch along as I make this project, here’s a video showing the process:

Now, no makeover would be complete without a before and after picture would it?

I hope this encourages you to think about using the Cut Files in your stash in more than one way and use them for different occasions :)
