Card Cover 5
Hi there!
I have a new Card Cover for you today and I have given you the digital sentiment I used for my card but of course you could use your own, today’s card cover has a Butterfly design. The wings on each Butterfly don’t quite meet up so they stay in place, the wings can be bent upwards to create dimension and to give a peak at the colour below :)
Today’s card cover makes for a super quick and easy card. Simply cut the 2 layers provided in contrasting colours, pop a sentiment behind the window, adhere to a card base then bend your wings slightly and you’re done.
I’ve been at the hot foiler for my sentiment again, I used silver this time :)

I like the hot foiler! I’ve not seen this…looks interesting! From what I came up with in a search looks like an expensive machine. Are there personal ones I’m not seeing that would be cheaper?
As always, thanks for sharing!
Lisa
There was an A4 one I was looking at which was about £120 but then I saw this one on ebay and took a chance, I don’t think it came with a guarantee or anything though, luckily it works just fine ;)

Thank you lovely card, I love the hole to the back of the card.
Lovely! Thank you for sharing.
Hi there,
I love all your files. I think I have almost all off your free cutting files. They are great. Thank you so much for all you do.
But I especially love this one with the pop up butterfly wings. I hope we will see more of these with different kind of butterflies, dragonflies, birds, etc.
Looooooove them. Thanks again.
Do you have a post somewhere on how you use the hot foiler? I could not find it.
Gabi
Lovely card, Bird! Thank you for sharing. I have the same foiler as you do that I bought a long time ago and only used it a few times. Now I need to bring it out again and start using it. So many fun toys! LOL Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the 3-D effect! Thank you for another easy yet impressive card.
Lovely as always, thanks Bird.
Love this card, two effects on one card is wonderful. With a different sentiment, it will be a beautiful Mother’s Day card. Thank you.
Thank you so much! you can’t have too many card covers. They come in so handy.
FabUlous once again – regards hot foiler – I have one that was on Create and craft a while back – lives in my cupboard as found it did not always foil well, may have to get it back out again – think was around £60 when I bought it also think the company was Letseret (not sure on the spelling of that) from memory !!
I did some reading around and it seems that the toner from the laser printer needs to be really black so I set my printer to its highest setting and I used the heavy setting on the foiler, it seems to work on mine. Also I read somewhere that multi colour laser printers arent as good as black and white ones.
Wow Bird, this is stunning. I love the hot foiling, it really pops out. Thank you so much for sharing all you fabulous work. x
You are so talented! What a lovely Spring card. Thank you for sharing this with us! I can’t wait to try it!
Thank you so much for your designs, love all of them, this one does look special though.
Ta carte est magnifique, j’adore ! Merci pour ton partage, Birds !
Beautiful, thank you so much! ~Diane
Hi, not sure where to put this. Somewhere I read that someone had asked you about doing your cards in the ScanNCut format. I just wanted to give you a heads up that on the ScanNCut Canvas online you can import SVG files and convert them to the SNC file name.

very nice ! thank you
So lovely! I used this for my mom’s birthday card yesterday, with a foil-printed cardstock background and a birthday sentiment, of course. She loved it. Thank you so much for your generosity with these cut files!
