Mothers day card + sentiment – First Posted: Sunday, May 01, 2011

Hi Guys,

This is the mothers day card I sent this year, I experimented with using a dark coloured cotton for my stitching to contrast with the pale Laura Ashley paper but I feel it was a little heavy, you gotta try these things to find out though, right? The label is the same one I used here on my daffodil card and I love the way they look different depending on how you size or position them, for this card I kept the label quite small, however, for my daffodil card I made it much larger to fill most of the card and turned it on its side.

Happy mothers day

I’ve had a couple of questions about the sausages I made, I made over a hundred of them in 4 different flavours: Pork & Apple, Pork & Leek, Pork & Herb, Paprika & Garlic. The reason I wanted to make my own sausages is that I could make them with a good cut of meat (pork leg) and I could make them low fat too.

Flower Frame + Sentiment – First Posted: Monday, February 21, 2011

Hello,

I know I’ve not posted for a bit and that it’s daft but I’ve been suffering from some self doubt on the card front lately. I don’t have any ‘real life’ crafting friends so I thought that maybe joining a craft club might help, hmm, now all I need is the confidence to go!! Anyone know where I can buy some of that?

Onto todays card, I have a flower frame cut file and a birthday sentiment for you which make for a quick and easy card which still has plenty of interest. I hope you like them.

I cut my file with my Craftrobo in cream card and layered with a contrasting patterned paper, I printed my sentiment out in a similar colour to the patterned paper and die cut with spellbinder ovals. I chose a yellow card base then coloured some white pearls with a pale yellow copic marker and popped in the middle of the flowers.

Somebody Loves You – First Posted: Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Hiyah!

One thing I am particularly excited about is that I have figured out how to make matting layers for my cut files, finally lol, I am still trying teaching myself how to use Illustrator, mostly by trial and error ha ha. Ok so the matting layers will appear in pink so if you cut the pink layer and the white layer in different colours you will achieve the effect shown in the cut file images which is exactly what I did in todays card to make the medalion like frame around my sentiment.
