2017 has been an extremely tough year for me. As many of you know, my fiance passed away suddenly in April.
Ever since I lost Austin, it has felt as though I’ve been in a fog, thinking clearly and focusing is tricky. It’s like I’m walking through treacle, any task I attempt takes longer than it did. Although I expected to have a hard time emotionally, I didn’t realise how much my ability to work would be effected. This has meant that I haven’t been able to release any many collections this year as I would have liked.
I would like to thank every single one of you for your support this year and hope that I can be more productive in 2018 and will be able to bring you many more collections.
Happy New Year! :)
Today I’d like to encourage you look at the SVGs in your stash to see if you can use them in different ways. I wanted to share how even one element from a collection could come in very handy in a pinch.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make all of my Christmas cards from scratch this year so I added some simple embellishments to shop bought cards I already had to make them a bit more festive.
Here are the 5″ x 7″ cards I purchased from M&S, they are a satin mirror with embossed writing:
For each card I used one frame and a few red gems:
The holly frame is from the White Christmas SVG collection, you will find it on the ‘Robin Card Layer 2’ page. Ich hätte meinen Rahmen an der ursprünglichen Größe geschnitten, aber ich wählte sie auf 6,5, um die Größe "breit, so dass meine Karten haben eine Grenze um den äußeren Rand,en.
Here’s how my finished cards look:
Hopefully next year I can return to fully handmade creations for the people in my life and in the meantime, I hope this years recipients will be happy with their cards :)
I conducted a Poll in the Bird’s SVGs Facebook Group asking how you currently use my SVG collections and freebies, I also asked if you would like to be able to advertise and sell your projects online.
The results showed that a majority of you craft for your friends and family but there were some of you who would like to be able to sell your projects online and in particular would like to be able to advertise your projects on your own facebook pages.
Also if you would like to get updates first, sneak-peeks and giveaways then you are very welcome to join the Bird’s SVGs Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1783926958585879/
