Rose Edge Card
Hello There!
I have the last of my Rose themed cards for you today, it’s a square card with a Rose Edge. I’m not sure what I’ll be moving onto next so if you have any suggestions, you never know, some of them might pop up in the future ;)
I cut my card base from some caramel card then applied a square of cream card to the inside of the card to emphasise the cut out roses. I cut a piece of patterned paper to fit down the left hand side of the card and layered onto more of the cream card then stitched the two together. I cut an opening with A Spellbinders Die then wrapped some seam binding at either end of the opening attaching it at the back of the panel. I measured the width of the opening and printed this sentiment on cream card to fit and adhered to the back of the panel, the last step was to attach the panel to the card base with 3d foam pads.
This is how the card looks when it’s closed…
…and when it’s opened

Just wanted to thank you for all the beautiful files, I have been having a ball making them. I was wondering if you happen to have orchant flower file. It was my Grandmother favorite flower and I can not find it any where. Have a great weekend and thanks again.
I really appreciate all the effort you put into creating cards that I can download for free. It’s just awesome! Thank you! I have spring on my brain so daffodils, tulips, cherry blossoms, apple blossoms & the like come to mind.
Thank you Bird. Another truly beautiful file.
Thank you for such a beautiful file.

Another beautiful card, I think I like this one the best. I do have a question though. Where do you purchase your seam binding?
WOW Bird – this is stunning. Thank you so much!
Wow, wow, wow, I absolutely love this one Bird. I think this is possibly my favourite card of yours, the colours you have used are stunning together and as luck would have it I have that caramel card, cream card and same colour ribbon. I am going to attempt this one. Thanks for the fab file. Unfortunately my pazzles software won’t open the AI or DXF files for some reason but I can vectorize the SVG.

Gorgeous card, Bird! You’ve inspired me yet another time. Thank you for sharing so kindly, all your beautiful files. I have been making clocks and would love to make a working 3D cuckoo clock or grandfather clock. I simply Love clocks and especially made from paper. Thank you again for asking. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for all your great files.
Thank you! Gorgeous card.
Wow ! Love these edge design files .
Thankyou.
Your card is so gorgeous, Bird! Thanks so much for sharing the cut file!
Thank you Bird, This is just so pretty, just like you.
Thanks so much for sharing it is a lovely card.
It’s funny you should mention, Bird, that we might make about suggestions for upcoming projects. I recently wrote (on your Easy Stained Glass post) “This technique could be applied to many shapes! (Hey, maybe this “stained glass along the shaped card edge” will become a new series for you — like how one bendy card inspired another and another…?)”
It’s the precise layering you created with the base, the “glass” and the top layer that is SO helpful!!
SO, since this beautiful rose is another awesome motif-along-the-edge design, I hope that it unleashes a new series! Besides flowers there could be all sorts of stained glass objects… balloons? stars? butterflies? Easter eggs? apples? pumpkins? Anything that can be a colour is fair game!
Thanks for the opportunity to suggest! I only wish I had your expertise so I could offer you some designs in return.
Thanks for the amazing rose cards!
Yet another beautiful rose card……which to choose for making Mother’s ay cards. Maybe mine will get two. :0) Thank you!

Oh! Merci c’est très joli.
hi Bird, fab cards as always – not sure if you read all comments, but don’t know how to contact you otherwise, but I need to make a card for someone in work and have been (unsuccessfully) trying to design a guitar card as the guy in question is a heavy metal rock fan. Managed to get guitar shape onto card but, am failing to get it all lined up etc. What I’m after is the guitar shape as the front of the card in either square or A5 size.
What I would like is either your help to design this or preferably a huge ask, but if you could design and offer on here. Like you due to work, etc, I dont get much time to play so would really, really appreciate your help on this one.
Cheers………………Jackie x
I love this design Bird
This is exactly what I’m going to use for my Sisters birthday as it will fit with what I have been doing for her recently.
Thank you for also showing how it turns out – I love your card samples, you make fabulous cards.

Hi Bird
I have absolutely loved your rose collection and have collected each and everyone. I vow to cut them all in the next couple of weeks and make a small collection to play and experiment with – I actually cut this one out in a cream cardstock and put some vellum behind the inside front in a pretty pink colour. It looks beautiful. It’s for my sisters birthday card. It’s so pretty.
Thank you for all of the rose cut files. You are so generous and very talented in your designing.
yours gratefully
