Swirly Hearts
Hiyah!
It feels like I haven’t spoken to you all since last year ;)
I’m not one for new years resolutions as such but I do have a few things I hope to achieve this year craft/blog wise. I haven’t used my copics any where near as much as I would have liked so far so I look forward to playing around with those some more this year also I am aware that my posts have been rather cut file heavy of late as I’ve really been enjoying creating them in Illustrator but I plan to take some time for making some new digis too. I would also like to learn some more about Photoshop to make more interesting and layered/distressed looking papers, I’ve also got a couple of other things I hope to do this year that will take quite some time out of my schedule so I’ll have to see how far I get.
Ok, so what do I have for you today? I have 3 Valentine/Love themed cut files for you, I made a little heart filled with swirls and 2 matching borders so you have one border to use vertically and one border for using horizontally.
I used the Deconstructed Sketch for my card layout, I used 2 of the hearts as my embellishments which I gave the faux metal treatment by adding lots of layers of my fave silver embossing powder from Stampendous until I was happy with the effect then backed with some satin silver card. I attached the swirly heart border to the 1 inch pink ribbon with some pink gem brads to add some interest. I added some Flourishes to my hearts as per the sketch and sprinkled my chipboard letters with some clear glitter.
While I was waiting for the glue to dry on my chipboard letters I thought I’d whip up a quick tag. I used one of my Tag 1 shapes from this page along with rosette strips from this page. I cut one of the rosette strips in pink and a second in cream then stuck them together slightly staggered to create a cream edge before scoring and folding.
Here are your cut files – formats ai, dxf, gsd, pdf, studio & svg included:
