Updated Gift Card Holder
Good Morning Guys!
I have an updated gift card/cash holder for you today, I had a suggestion for one incorporating a tuck in flap and I thought that was a great idea. I went about making one and while I was at it, I added some side flaps so now you wont need to add brads or ribbons etc, it’s much easier to use so thanks for the suggestion Carol! :)
Pic 1. I cut the holder base from some ivory pearl card, the front panels from some floral paper and the back panel from some whitewash card. The ribbon and metal embellishment are to add some decoration to the front panel:
Pic 2. I folded all of the perforated lines to help with where to place the layering pieces and added some red line tape to the side tabs:
Pic 3. I added all of my layering pieces remembering to add any decoration first so the edges can be tucked away out of sight:
Pic 4. I removed the liner from my tape and stuck my tabs in place to form the pocket:
Pic 5. The tab on the front edge tucks easily into the slot in the pocket:

Hi Bird
thank you so much for this cut file it really is a useful looking folder – you could make large enough to fit something like a wedding invitation in maybe – or a greating on a large tag or a tag made to match the envelope size (and vice versa)…
Love the paper you’ve used – is it Graphic 45 by any chance?
thanks again

That’s a great idea, hmm I’m tempted to go make a big one now. The paper is from the papermania vintage notes collection:)
Thank you – fab work again x
Forgot to ask if anything upcoming for Mothers Day – even a sentiment to go with your mix and match cards would be good ;)
Thank you for sharing this. It looks like I will be able to use it lots of different ways.
Thank you
Thank you so much!:)

Hi just found your website and spent the last hour with a cup of tea looking back through all your archives, have to say some fab projects and am planning on printing some of your freebie papers. Thanks in advance for those have to ask what are the digital cutting files for please I thought some were so lovely but presume they are for use with a machine as some of the intricate patterns would be hard to cut out with scissors or a craft knife. Please what machine do you use as I only I have a bigshot
The cut files are used with a digital cutting machines, the one I use is the Knk Zing. There are lots of metal dies on the market which can be used with a bigshot but a digital cutter allows you to create your own designs and also to alter the size too :)
I simply love your card! Many thanks for sharing your creations.
I rarely give actual gifts anymore, so a different card holder is great. Thank you, Bird.
Thank you for sharing! I am sure this will come in handy!
Thank you! I am glad that you included the panels-makes it so much easier to complete the project!
What a great idea! Thank you very much.
Oooh! I love this! It seems so simple to do, once you get the hang of it. Thanks, BIrd!
Thank you, This is a deligthful project! I love your talent and the fact that you share it. Have you tried making any paper bows? Last night I figured out how to use a die in mine to make it have lattice work (in the bow part).
We appreciate you sharing your gift of creativity soooo much!
Hugs, Peggy
Paper Bows are on my list so I will be making some soon :)

Thank you Bird, this is gorgeous! ~Diane
Thank you so much
Thank you! I love this! I’m always looking for new and different ways to make gift card holders, and now that I have a Cameo, it’s great to have a cut file for one!
I made the card today and it;s adorable! However, it’s not large enough for a gift card – am I missing something? I will try to resize it on my own, just wondering if I misinterpreted what this was for.
Thank you for sharing your work I appreciate it very much, you inspire me.
